Project Cost Consultant Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role description:

We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.

Role accountabilities:

• Work independently within established systems to monitor and review project costs and variances on small commercial/regeneration/residential projects, in order to control cost variables
• Deliver/assist to manage small to medium scale cost projects or significant components of cost management assignments, ensuring the delivery of the required scope of work within set deadlines
• Understand and comply with business risk and present any project concerns or issues to senior managers to ensure the project is not adversely impacted
• Provide advice to colleagues on principles of risk management, to ensure adherence to the organizations risk and compliance processes
• Analyze and review a range of data to collate trends and prepare documentation such as delivery plans, providing advice and making recommendations to support cost and commercial management decision-making
• Use own knowledge and experience to review and analyze existing cost and commercial management processes and policies, sharing knowledge and taking an active involvement in service improvement and innovation
• Interact with internal and external customers, applying technical knowledge to complete complex, professional level tasks in order to ensure projects/programmes can be delivered to meet customer expectations
  
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or equivalent relevant discipline
• Attainment of OR near attainment of relevant professional certification or working towards chartered status
• In-depth technical knowledge of specialized field, including construction processes and cost and commercial management
• Demonstration of self-management and prioritization skills with the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to influence stakeholders and third parties
