Hoegh Autoliners is looking for a Vessel Accountant who will be responsible for financial functions related to recording, analysis, and presentation of ships operational expenses and capital expenditures.

Main responsibilities:

• Control and book-keeping of vessel expenses in accordance with agreed procedure
• Handle invoices based on agreed procedure
• Handle supplier’s inquiry
• Handle accounting reports from the vessel/s
• Handle reconciliation of accounts and provide recommendation for adjustment
• Prepare relevant accounting analysis and schedules
• Execute closing procedure in accordance with defined timeline
• Provide support to Accounting Manager and Ship Manager in terms of budget control
• Provide input to enhance current processes
• Shall support and comply with company policies and procedure for Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Management System as required by ISO 9001,14001 & 45001

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accountancy/Finance or similar field
• Experience in relevant accounting process
• Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills
• Analytical and detail oriented
• Honest, disciplined, organized, and has a positive mindset
• Team player who can also work independently
• Experience and knowledge of shipping industry
• Having experience in an international environment is advantageous.
