Role Overviewπ
The Solution Consultant performs a crucial role in the success of any project. They act as the bridge between the client and the internal technical team. They are responsible for engaging with customers and benefit providers alike to gather all relevant requirements needed to design a best practice employee benefits portal.
To succeed in this role you must be a self-starter who will take ownership of the solution being delivered. You must be capable of building and maintaining good working relations with internal and external stakeholders alike (customers, brokers and benefit providers) β being a team player is key. You should be someone who enjoys problem-solving and has a solution-oriented mindset. You must be tech-savvy and be able to think logically to design qualitative end-to-end process workflows β while you will be supported by technical experts you will need to confidently relay technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. With time you will be expected to speak knowledgeably about the benefits market and act as a source of subject matter expertise on the topic internally.

Responsibilities π€
- Deliver projects with international customers.
- Lead the collaboration with customers, their brokers and benefit providers globally throughout the project, as part of a cross-functional project team.
- Gather and document customer requirements, producing detailed designs that address specific customer needs while adhering to best practices.
- Work with your technical colleagues to design solutions that help customers to achieve their overall project goals, ensuring feasibility of requirements can be delivered within our technology.
- Think outside the box to identify possible risks and exceptions in the design, with the aim of producing a robust end-to-end solution.
- Deliver with a focus on achieving an excellent user experience for both employees and customer administrators alike.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with customer stakeholders.
- Lend your expertise on customer requirements, benefits and Benifex solutions to others within the business.
- Support product development initiatives. Assume the role of the Benifex solution expert in sales meetings.
- Share knowledge of the technical set-up of benefits and how to integrate suppliers with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to library of best practices.
- Create lean, standardized processes for implementing benefits.
- Continuously research and grow your knowledge of the global benefit market.
- Be an internal role model for the wider consulting teams, living and breathing the high standards we expect and helping develop others to achieve the same.
What are we looking for? π
- Strong professional working proficiency in English
- Experience working in a customer-facing requirements-gathering role within a project delivery environment.
- Experience in delivering multiple customer projects simultaneously.
- Experience with system integration projects (ideally HR or Payroll integrations)
- Evidence of proactively driving improvements, whether internally or externally
- A completer-finisher, someone who really takes ownership and accountability of their work.
- Someone who frequently challenges the βstatus quoβ as well as removing external and internal barriers by identifying effective solutions.
- Effective communicator: comfortable communicating complex, often technical, points in ways appropriate to audiences that may vary from non-technical to highly technical, and through various verbal and written methods.
- Ability to skilfully navigate difficult conversations with fairness and empathy.
