You’ll work remotely, creating 3D designs and detailed drawings that bring equipment and project concepts to life. Monthly rate: USD 1955

Contract: Independent Contractor

Schedule: Typically 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (UK time), with some flexibility

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

• Use Autodesk Fusion 360 and/or Autodesk Inventor to produce high-quality 3D machinery designs, assemblies, and components
• Create and develop sheet metal designs, including folded panels, brackets, frames, and enclosures — from concept through to flat pattern manufacture
• Produce clear, accurate 2D drawings to support equipment proposals and technical documentation
• Develop process flow diagrams and layout drawings to help visualize systems and processes
• Produce technical images and renderings for manuals, data sheets, and customer-facing materials
• Prepare detailed components and production drawings directly from 3D models, ensuring they are ready for fabrication or machining
• Collaborate with the wider team to review designs, optimize manufacturability, and ensure practical, safety, and quality standards are met
• Manage and maintain drawing files and revision control to keep project documentation organized and up to date

Requirements

• Experience using Autodesk Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, or similar 3D CAD software
• Solid understanding of sheet metal design, including bending, folding, and fabrication principles
• Confidence producing both 3D models and 2D drawings to a high professional standard
• Good grasp of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Detail-oriented, organized, and pride in producing accurate, well-presented work
• Clear communicator who enjoys working in a small, friendly team that values collaboration and initiative
• Experience designing machinery or process equipment is a bonus; open to all backgrounds with the right attitude and skills
