Roles and Responsibilities

As senior lead - facilities, you will oversee end-to-end building operations across WeWork India centres, ensuring seamless technical and soft services delivery while maintaining operational excellence. Success in this role is measured by operational uptime, client satisfaction scores, cost efficiency, and team performance metrics.


Building operations management

  • Managing complete building operations including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire safety, building management systems, and other critical technical infrastructure
  • Ensuring 24/7 operational readiness of all technical services across assigned centres with minimal downtime
  • Overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Managing soft services including housekeeping, security, pantry operations, and member experience services

Client relationship management

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for managed office clients, addressing their facility-related requirements and concerns
  • Conducting regular client walkthroughs and ensuring service level agreements are consistently met
  • Proactively identifying and resolving operational issues that impact client experience

Team leadership and management

  • Leading and mentoring a diverse facilities team including technical staff, supervisors, and service partners
  • Building strong operational capabilities within the team through training, performance management, and skill development
  • Fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Working closely with community, sales, finance, and design teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Coordinating with procurement and finance teams for budgeting, vendor management, and cost optimisation
  • Partnering with health and safety teams to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements

Vendor and compliance management

  • Managing relationships with third-party service providers and ensuring contract compliance
  • Ensuring all statutory compliances related to building operations are maintained
  • Driving cost efficiencies while maintaining quality standards across all services


Desired professional experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in facilities management, building operations, or related technical operations roles
  • Proven experience managing large-scale commercial properties or multi-site operations
  • Strong background in managing technical services including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems
  • Experience in managing both technical and soft services teams
  • Track record of managing managed office or flexible workspace operations is preferred

Important skills

  • Deep understanding of building technical systems and infrastructure management
  • Strong operational grip with ability to manage multiple locations simultaneously
  • Excellent team management and leadership capabilities
  • Outstanding collaboration skills with ability to work effectively across departments
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to handle high-pressure situations
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements for commercial buildings
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi

Good to have

  • Certification in facilities management or project management
  • Experience with building management systems and IoT-enabled facilities technology
  • Familiarity with flexible workspace or co-working industry operations
  • Knowledge of green building practices and sustainability initiatives

Educational background

Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, or related technical field
