Job Description

As a Store Keeper, you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring the smooth operation of the store. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing goods, as well as managing inventory records to ensure accuracy. The Store Keeper is integral in overseeing stock control and ensuring that inventory levels are maintained to meet customer demands without incurring unnecessary expenses. You will work closely with other team members, suppliers, and management to ensure efficient store operations. Your ability to keep accurate records and follow proper procedures will be key to success in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments for quality and accuracy.
  • Organize and store goods in an orderly and accessible manner in the store.
  • Maintain inventory records of all stocked items to ensure availability.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Conduct regular stock checks to reconcile physical inventory with records.
  • Assist in the implementation of inventory control procedures and standards.
  • Issue goods as required to ensure smooth operations of business processes.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders to replenish inventory as needed.
  • Ensure that all safety and security measures are in place within the store.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to improve store operations.
  • Prepare reports on inventory levels and stock movements for management.
  • Handle all inventory transactions and maintain documentation for audits.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Store Keeper or in a similar inventory role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to operate store equipment and inventory management software.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers and team members.
  • Basic mathematical skills for accurate inventory counts and adjustments.
  • Familiarity with standard warehousing procedures and best practices.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
