As an Interior Designer, you will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing indoor spaces. Your expertise will guide clients from concept to completion, ensuring their vision is brought to life through creative and practical design solutions. The role involves collaborating with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budgetary constraints while integrating style, comfort, and functionality into their spaces. You will be utilizing your knowledge of design principles, color schemes, textiles, materials, and lighting to transform ideas into reality. You should be proficient in design software and possess a strong sense of creativity, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Meet clients to discuss their objectives, preferences, and overall vision for the space.
• Create detailed design plans based on client specifications and requirements.
• Prepare sketches, illustrations, and models using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Source materials, furnishings, and accessories that complement the proposed design concept.
• Develop mood boards and presentations to communicate ideas and gain client approval.
• Oversee the design project from the initial consultation to final installation.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other professionals for seamless implementation.
• Stay current on the latest design trends, materials, and innovations in the industry.
• Conduct on-site observations and direct construction teams to ensure project adherence.
• Handle budget management and ensure all project phases remain financially viable.
• Adapt designs based on client feedback and unforeseen practical constraints.
• Maintain an updated portfolio showcasing a range of completed design projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience in interior design with a strong portfolio of design projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong creativity and a keen eye for design details and craftsmanship.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client interaction.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently and effectively.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and necessary compliance standards.
