HVAC Design Engineer (225-1017)

As an HVAC Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for various types of buildings. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring these systems are efficient, sustainable, and meet the required energy standards. You will be involved from the conceptual stages through to the final implementation, working closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to deliver high-performance climate control solutions. This position requires not only technical skills and a strong understanding of HVAC technologies but also an ability to innovate and adapt designs that comply with industry regulations and environmental guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate HVAC systems into building designs effectively.
• Develop detailed plans and specifications for HVAC installations and renovations.
• Perform load calculations to determine appropriate HVAC equipment capacities and specifications.
• Utilize software tools and simulations to optimize HVAC design performance and efficiency.
• Conduct site surveys and assess existing systems for improvements or replacements.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for project stakeholders and construction teams.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of HVAC systems to ensure conformity to design specifications.
• Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams during the implementation phase.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes in HVAC design.
• Collaborate in the research and development of energy-efficient HVAC systems and practices.
• Manage project timelines and deliver design documents within set deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in HVAC design and engineering roles.
• Proficiency with HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HAP software.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation technologies.
• Familiarity with energy-efficient design concepts and sustainable building practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in design specifications.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet rigorous deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one is preferred.
